š Epipremnum āPearls and Jadeā
Soft speckles, creamy margins, and trailing charm. This cultivar originated as a mutation of āMarble Queenā and brings a more delicate aesthetic: small, heart-shaped leaves splashed with creamy white, grey-green, and deep green in irregular blotches and speckles. Unlike the crisp contrast of āNāJoyā, āPearls and Jadeā leans into a softer, more watercolor-like variegation.
Itās a slow grower with a compact habitāperfect for shelves, desktops, or paired with sculptural ceramics that echo its gentle palette.
š§Ŗ Care Guide: Keep It Crisp
š” Light: Bright, indirect light preserves variegation. Too little light = fading to green. Avoid direct sunāthin leaves scorch easily.
š§ Water: Let the top 2ā5 cm of soil dry out between waterings. Overwatering causes root rot; underwatering leads to droopy leaves that bounce back quickly.
š± Soil: Loose, well-draining mix: potting soil + perlite + orchid bark. Aim for pH 6.0ā7.0.
šØ Humidity: Average indoor humidity is fine, but 50ā70% keeps foliage lush. Pebble trays or grouping help in drier spaces.
š”ļø Temperature: 18ā29°C is ideal. Sensitive to coldāavoid drafts and temps below 10°C.
š½ļø Feeding: Feed every 4ā6 weeks in spring/summer with balanced liquid fertilizer. Skip winter feedings.
āļø Pruning: Trim leggy vines to encourage bushiness. Great for shaping or trailing aesthetics.
šæ Propagation: Stem cuttings root easily in water or soil. Include at least one node and leaf.
š¾ Pet Safety: Toxic if ingestedākeep out of reach of curious pets.
